Asheville City Schools has the option to use remote learning strategies during inclement weather. This means students can complete remote learning assignments on a "Snow Day" without interrupting the calendar. Students and staff will not need to drive on icy roads, and we won't lose any instructional hours so we can complete the school year on schedule.
Attendance for the remote learning days will be confirmed by students when they turn in the remote learning assignments.
Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth-grade students will complete assignments in the "Cougar Weather Packet". Assignments are labeled by day, Day 1, Day 2, etc.
AMS, AHS, and SILSA students will all complete assignments via Canvas.
Montford students in grades 6 and 7 will complete Montford Weather Packets, and Montford grade 8 will complete assignments via Canvas.
