Brad Johnson, Principal
My name is Brad Johnson and I have had the pleasure of working at Dickson for the last 15 years in both the assistant principal and principal roles. Our school is a unique place in which there is a strong partnership between the school and families. I am truly fortunate to work with the best students, teachers, and parents in Asheville. Our Dickson family is the best!
Originally I am from the Buffalo, New York area, but have lived in many areas of the country. In Buffalo, I received a degree in both elementary education and exceptional education. Later I worked in Fairfax County Virginia, New York, and Nevada. In Las Vegas, I completed my Master's degree as well as getting my certification in teaching English as a second language.
When not at school I enjoy spending time with my family. We have two boys: eighteen and six, two girls: seventeen, and four. Additionally, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, keeping bees, gardening, following the Buffalo Sabres and Bills, and enjoying everything that Asheville has to offer.
At Isaac Dickson we believe in an open door policy in meeting the needs of our students and parents.
Please feel free to stop by, I am happy to help in any way I can.
